Add a text watermark to every page
Type CONFIDENTIAL, COPY or your own text, then adjust its layout, colour, size and opacity before marking the PDF.
- Choose a short, easy-to-understand text that doesn't hide important information.
- Adjust the layout, size, colour and opacity so it stays legible without getting in the way of reading.
- Export, then check light pages, dark pages and pages already full of text.
Limits to know: up to 100 MB and 200 pages. A visible watermark informs the reader, but it doesn't encrypt the file, prevent it from being modified or prove its integrity.
Frequently asked questions
Does the watermark appear on every page?
Yes. The text and settings you choose are applied to all the pages of the document.
Can I use custom text?
Yes. You can type your own wording and choose how it looks.
Does a watermark make the PDF confidential?
No. It is a visual warning. An access policy and, where needed, separate encryption are still required.
