How to sign a PDF on iPhone
No paid app · No watermark
You can sign a PDF on iPhone directly in Safari. Parapheo adapts the tool to touch: draw your signature with your finger, place it on the document, resize it, then download the result to the Files app.
From an email attachment
- Save the PDF. In Mail or Gmail, open the attachment, tap Share, then “Save to Files”.
- Open Parapheo in Safari. Tap “Choose a file”, then select the PDF in Recents or Downloads.
- Tap the signature area on the document. A menu slides up from the bottom of the screen, within thumb reach: you never have to scroll back to the top of the page.
- Draw with your finger and save. The signature lands exactly where you tapped. Two buttons, − and +, below it make it smaller or larger; no need to aim for a tiny corner handle with your finger.
- Download the document. Tap “Download the signed PDF”. Safari shows the progress next to the address bar; then find the file in Files > Downloads.
If you can’t find the file
On iPhone, an attachment viewed in a mail app is not always saved to Files. Use the Share menu first. After export, Safari’s downloads button or the Files app lets you find the new PDF.
A cleaner finger signature
- turn your iPhone to landscape to get a wider area;
- sign slowly with a single finger;
- use a photographed image if you prefer your usual signature;
- zoom into the PDF before positioning the signature precisely.
Local mode also works offline after a first complete visit. The PDF and the signature stay on the iPhone; only the free quota and, if needed, creating unlimited access use the network.
