No paper · No scanner
Sign a PDF without printing
Free · No watermark · Local processing
Printing a contract, signing it in pen and then scanning it takes time and often degrades the quality of the document. You can follow exactly the same process in the browser: add a signature, a date or a note, then save a new, clean PDF.
The quickest method
- Save the attachment. From your email, download the PDF to Files or Downloads.
- Open it in Parapheo. In local signing mode, the file is not sent to the server.
- Add the requested information. Place your signature, today's date, a note such as “Read and approved” and, if needed, your initials.
- Export the signed PDF. No watermark or extra page is added.
- Reply to the original email. Attach the new file, whose name shows that it is signed.
Do I need to scan my signature?
No. You can draw it directly. If you want to reuse the same handwriting, take a sharp photo of a signature on white paper: the tool can remove the background and remember the image only on your device.
What if several people need to sign?
After adding your own signature, you can download the PDF and send it yourself. For a tracked process with email address verification and a certificate of evidence, use sending a PDF for remote signature instead.
Before sending the document back
- check all the pages and required fields;
- make sure the signature doesn't cover any text;
- keep the email exchange and a copy of the final PDF;
- for an important deed, check the level of electronic signature required.
